Check out the link for recent Michelin restaurants. These will need a reservation. The Bottega cafe side does not require reservation and is a personal favorite.
Check out a super popular Saturday morning Farmer's market downtown. It is a cool part of town to check out.
Picture Lady Liberty, now scale it down, make her a man, and give it a twist of what makes Birmingham the Magic City- iron-making. On top of that, Vulcan Park gives you an amazing (if not the best) view of downtown Birmingham! If there's one thing we recommended you check out, this is it! *written by Michael
This is free and so much fun to see. This is where Michael and Beth got engaged (the dwarf redwood tree near the rose garden). I highly recommend a walk through the gardens with a coffee!
This is a great zoo connected to the Botanical Gardens. This does cost $. It has a dinosaur exhibit right now and would be great for kids!
It is such a fun area to walk and has many high end shops. It is right next to the botanical gardens.
Right up the hill from the Botanical Gardens and Mountain Brook Village. It is smaller village. There are a few high end shops. There is also a cute French Bakery- Continental Bakery. There are pretty houses and lookout points right up the hill from it.
A great spot for a walk or run that is well shaded with nice scenery.
In the heart of Homewood. Right next to the Valley and Aloft hotels. There are lots of cute shops and restaurants. Beth’s favorite Chicken salad is at O’Carr’s. Oak Hill and Real & Rosemary also have great food!
Free!
