Storm King Art Center is a 500-acre outdoor sculpture park located in the Hudson Valley. A great stop either to or from Manhattan (60 minutes from Woodstock)

For all the foodies, CIA is 45 minutes from Woodstock!
Ashokan Rail Trail- Woodstock Dike Trailhead
An 11.5-mile recreational trail runs along the Ashokan Reservoir between West Hurley and Boiceville. The reservoir supplies 40% of NYC's water! Three convenient entrances with parking can be accessed in West Hurley, Shokan-you can rent bikes from Overlook Bicycles (845-657-4001)across the street from the Shokan entrance or Boiceville.
Hiking in the Catskills
For our hiking friends, this link offers great options from easy to challenging. Our top recommendations (we haven't been to all) are in no particular order: Ashokan Rail Trail, Kaaterskill Falls, Mount Tremper and Overlook Mountain. Not on the list is Comeau Park, an easy trail for the whole family on 77 acres. If you're staying at the Emerson Resort they have additional trails and recommendations.
New York Zipline Adventure Tours
One of the longest and highest ziplines in North America. Located at Hunter Mountain (where we have our seasonal ski passes).
Opus 40
A 12 acre bluestone quarry turned into a beautiful sculpture park by Harvey Fite , founder of the fine arts program at Bard College. This sculpture park took almost 40 years to create!
Shakti Yoga Woodstock
When we started dating, Michael played tennis next door and I went to Shakti Yoga and loved it!
Restaurants & Bars
We have a lot of terrific restaurants in Woodstock. This link from Woodstock Way gives the best overall list. In addition for breakfast or lunch we recommend The Phoenicia Diner and Pearl Moon. Good Night Woodstock for dinner and drinks.
Shop on Tinker St
Tinker St is filled with shops, galleries, restaurants and cafes. Not just all tiedye shops anymore!
