An 11.5-mile recreational trail runs along the Ashokan Reservoir between West Hurley and Boiceville. The reservoir supplies 40% of NYC's water! Three convenient entrances with parking can be accessed in West Hurley, Shokan-you can rent bikes from Overlook Bicycles (845-657-4001)across the street from the Shokan entrance or Boiceville.

Our top recommendations (we haven't been to all) are in no particular order: Ashokan Rail Trail, Kaaterskill Falls, Mount Tremper and Overlook Mountain. Not on the list is Comeau Park, an easy trail for the whole family on 77 acres. If you're staying at the Emerson Resort they have additional trails and recommendations.
