Question
When and where will the wedding take place?
Answer
The wedding will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024 at The Barn at Sunset Ranch in Buena Vista, CO. The start time will be 4:30pm. You can find information about the venue here: https://www.thebarnatsunsetranch.com/
Question
Is parking available at the venue?
Answer
Yes! There is plenty of free onsite parking with minimal walking distance at The Barn at Sunset Ranch. Just know that your car needs to be removed from the venue by 8am the next day so the next wedding has full use of the venue.

When and Where are the Shuttle Stops?
Answer
We will be providing shuttle transportation to and from the wedding. Please note that we will have a few pickup spots including the following: SHUTTLE SCHEDULE: The Surf Hotel | 3: 50 PM & 4:10 PM Cross streets of Railroad & Main | 3: 50 PM & 4:10 PM Best Western | 4:10 PM The Shuttle will have the same drop off locations and will leave at various times from 9-11pm. We plan to continue celebrating at The Lariat in downtown Buena Vista after the wedding. We will not have transportation home from The Lariat so if you are interested in this event, please be sure your accommodations are in walking distance of downtown. There are no Ubers or taxis in Buena Vista.

What is the dress code?
Answer
We can’t wait to celebrate with our favorite people. Dress to impress in your best cocktail attire! Wear something you’re comfortable in—or whatever brings you joy. No ties or ball gowns required. Since our ceremony will take place outside, we recommend paying attention to the weather and bringing a coat as needed.

What weather can I expect?
Answer
The weather in the mountains of Colorado can be variable. In Buena Vista in October, daily high temperatures averages range from 66°F to 53°F. Daily low average temperatures range from 38°F to 28°F. Please also note that Colorado has a lot of direct sunlight at high elevation. Our venue is on a plain which does sometimes come with higher winds. Please plan your hairdos, sunscreen, and water intake accordingly. Keep an eye on the weather in the weeks leading up to the wedding and have your warm jacket ready for the ceremony and cocktail hour!

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our ceremony & cocktail hour will be outdoors -Although we have arranged heaters for cocktail hour, our venue does experience varying temperatures at this time of the year. A warm jacket may be recommended. Our wedding reception will take place indoors.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
Although we love your little ones, please note our wedding will be an adult-only affair.

Can I bring a plus one not listed on my invitation?
Answer
We would love to share our special day with as many people as possible, but due to venue restrictions, we are unable to accommodate plus ones. Thank you for your understanding!

Anything else I should do to prepare?
Answer
Please just be aware that Buena Vista is at an elevation of 7,965′. If you are coming from a lower elevation, please drink water and consider electrolytes!
