Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire - for women this would be dresses, rompers, pant suits, dressy sandals or heels and for men this would include slacks, and a dress shirt with jacket and dress shoes or a suit and tie.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

UPDATED TO NEW VENUE: Guests should begin arriving by 5pm or before. NOTE: 5:30pm IS THE LATEST time you will be allowed to enter, the road will be blocked after that point and no further cars allowed to enter. You will need to park, take a shuttle to the ceremony, and find a seat by 5:30pm. Feel free to arrive anytime between 4:30pm and 5:30pm. *The venue is approximately 30 min from Charlotte and about 2 hours from Winston Salem.

Where is the couple registered?

Answer

We are kindly asking for cash donations in lieu of gifts. In the links on this page, click the Registry tab to send us a gift directly or bring a card in person to the wedding (there will be a cards & gifts table on site) IF YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO ATTEND BUT STILL WISH TO SEND THE COUPLE A GIFT: Please do so on this website on the Registry page! The gift cards will be sent to the couple. You may also mail a card to the couple at: Beth and Kourtney Hahn 9530 Alice McGinn Drive Charlotte, NC 28277.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we absolutely love children, we are kindly asking that all attendees be 16 years or older for various reasons and insurance purposes with our venue. We do hope this won't be a deterrent and that you will get a baby sitter and join us for a fun "date night" out with an open bar, dinner, and dancing! We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Will there be any special circumstances due to Covid-19?

Answer

The venue will be completely sanitized prior to our event, there will be hand sanitizing stations available, and social distancing measures will be taken so that masks are NOT necessary. The ceremony and cocktail hour are outside and the reception takes place in a large indoor event space where tables will be 6 feet apart and 2 massive doors will be open. f you don't feel comfortable or feel that your health is at risk, we kindly ask that you update your RSVP as soon as possible if you can't attend due to safety concerns.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Yes, everyone can bring ONE "date" to the wedding. Please specify this on the RSVP page. We ask that all guests be 16 years or older please!

Will the venue be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The venue offers an outdoor ceremony location (if it isn't raining) that we plan to utilize the patio for Cocktail Hour. The dinner & dancing will be indoors, which is fully heated or cooled depending on the weather. If it is raining, all activities will take place completely indoors.

Is there an Open Bar?

Answer

The bar is FREE to guests and will have complimentary wine and beer. We will also have water, soda, and tea.

What last name will the couple take?

Answer

This was a hard decision for us because we could take either last name or hyphenate. Neither of us were adamant that either take the other's name so we started thinking of Pros & Cons to each option. We decided that Hahn- Shipman was too long so we eliminated that pretty early on, and we ultimately decided to go with "Hahn" because Beth has 1000's of business cards and yard signs and marketing already printed with her last name for her career as a realtor, so it seemed like the easiest way to go! So we will become Beth & Kourtney Hahn!

Kourtney made Beth pancakes on the morning of February 2, 2018 and spelled out in icing on the pancake "Will You Be My Girlfriend?!" It was absolutely adorable & the rest is history!

Why did the venue change AGAIN?

Answer

We lost our first venue due to Covid (they cancelled our wedding) and we lost our second wedding location because the venue was under construction, still being built, and due to Covid- the construction was delayed and they will not have the venue finished by the time of the wedding unfortunately. We have been heartbroken over these unfortunate situations BUT we feel over the moon to have found our third and final venue! Third time is a charm! This venue is truly everything we could've hoped for! We hope you love it just as much as we do!

Why is the wedding on Friday the 9th instead of Saturday the 10th?

Answer

We LOVED our 10/10/20 date SO much.. it was hard to let it go, but when we unexpectedly had to change venues at the last minute, we scrambled to find something we loved but that also had availability. We called over 50 different venues, and thankfully North Corner Haven had ONE date left in October so we grabbed it right away! It wasn't the date we hoped for but we feel fortunate to still have 10/10/20 as our FIRST day of married life! So it is still special to us! We are so sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
