Things To Do

Kenosha HarborMarket

5410 2nd Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140
, (262) 914-1252

Don’t miss the Kenosha Harbor Market from 9a -2p on Saturday. This is one of the regions best outdoor markets, and was event selected by Food & Wine Magazine as one of 13 farmer's markets worth traveling for in 2017 (https://www.bonappetit.com/gallery/farmers-markets-worth-traveling-for)...

North Pierhead Light

Kenosha, WI 53140

Kenosha's North Pierhead Light was purchased by Ken's friend John Burhani in 2011, and converted into his art studio. His wife now owns the structure, and manages it as a site for public art and art outreach. Take a stroll and nab one of the best "selfies" that Kenosha can offer.

Simmons Island Beach

5001 Simmons Island Road, Kenosha, WI 53140

Kenosha's best beach. Go for an early morning run along the lakeshore, soak up some rays while reading a book, or brave the cool clear waters of Lake Michigan! Few amenities on-site, but within a 10 min walk of downtown restaurants and also a local pharmacy if you forget sunscreen...

Dinosaur Discovery Museum

5608 10th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140
, (262) 653-4450

Kenosha's Dinosaur Discovery Museum houses North America's largest skeletal cast collection of meat-eating dinosaurs, and is dedicated to the exploration of the relationship between modern birds and ancient carnivorous biped dinosaurs (also know as Theropods). The museum is free, and open to the public from noon - 5p, Tuesday through Sunday. If you're lucky, and curator Nick Wiersum is around, he might show you the storage room and let you touch dino poop, or even a real 200 million year old dinosaur bone...

Kenosha Public Museum

5500 1st Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140
, (262) 653-4140

The site of our reception is also home to some great natural history & fine art exhibits. Free & open to the public M-Sa 10a-5p. (**note: museum exhibits will also be open to our guests during our reception!)

Civil War Museum

5400 1st Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140
, (262) 653-4141

A fantastic museum chronicling the Midwest's role in America's Civil War. The main exhibit is paid, but includes a 360° movie. The upper galleries are also interesting, and are unpaid. A worthwhile stop for the hardcore historian.

Coffee Pot

4914 7th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140
, (262) 653-8849

Have breakfast at one of our favorite downtown spots! Beth like the "percolator", while Ken orders the corned beef hash...

Rutz Puzzle House

4224 7th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140
, (262) 764-3289

Come see the historic place where Beth & Ken first laid eyes on each other! (CASH ONLY - ATM on-site)

The Buzz Cafe

5621 6th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140
, (262) 220-7782

Our favorite place for coffee, beer, or wine. Also a great spot for lunch. (Full disclosure: We're a little biased, because Ken works here...)

Sazzy B - Kenosha Restaurant

Sazzy B - Kenosha Restaurant

5623 6th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140
, (262) 925-8499

Kenosha's BEST spot for cocktails. Dinner is great too, but reservations are recommended. (Ken also works here.)

The Garage

3001 60th Street, Kenosha, WI 53144
, (262) 564-5121

Not actually a garage. Instead, a great burger joint across from the site of Kenosha's former Chrysler manufacturing plant. Also the home to Beth's FAVORITE Bloody Mary... (CASH ONLY - ATM on-site)

Washington Park Velodrome

Washington Park Velodrome

Washington Road, Kenosha, WI 53140

The nation's oldest operating velodrome! Located in Kenosha's Washington Park, you can take a spin round the track during park hours. Monday and Tuesday night's see some intense racing!

Simmons Library - Kenosha Public Library

711 59th Place, Kenosha, WI 53140
, (262) 564-6100

A beautifully historic library at the south end of Kenosha's downtown. If you need a read, pick one up here. The architecture alone is worth the stop!
