This girl right here. She’s my best friend. She’s smart, beautiful and has the kindest spirit. She may only be ten years old but she’s strong, resilient, and fierce. When she loves something, she loves with all her heart. Watching her and J’s relationship develop over the past three years has been the most heartfelt. Before she had any idea we were dating she would go to the gym with me and, of course, flip around the gym. Jt was her friend, and he was mine too. One day he told her to “tell your mom she’s beautiful when y’all leave today.” Well, she did and it was adorable. A few months later she met him officially by this cute water fountain close to our house. When I asked her if she was shocked, she said “Not really, I kinda thought he was going to be your boyfriend.” ☺️

Little Viv. She is fearless and fierce. Independence is her motto. She has a wild love for life, and always seeking adventure. Before I got to know her, I had this personality made up of who she was. I thought she was meek, shy, and bashful, because she’s so tiny I suppose. I was wrong. She is the exact opposite. She brings so much joy, entertainment, and spunk to our family. You can usually find her attached to Charley Mae’s hip, back, or neck when she hasn’t found a make shift jungle gym to climb on. We have loved blending our lives with this sweet little soul.

Jt and I were struggling with growth in our relationship with Christ, and seeking opportunities to fulfill that need. Jt had visited Journey Church in the past and suggested we visit, but I will admit I was totally against it. I was very hesitant about going to a circus looking tent church, but we were feeling helpless in our faith growth at our church. That’s when we met Jeremy at a wedding, ironically. He was officiating the wedding at some friends of ours, The Moss’s. I instantly fell in love with his bright personality, and saw Jesus’s light shine right through him. We immediately started going to Journey and feel so blessed to be a part of that church. I mean not just any preacher can start Easter morning sermon with “It’s like a Cheech & Chong movie in here. This joint is packed!” haha….we are honored that he is marrying us, and blessed that he and his sweet wife, Sheila, give us guidance through these crazy times. Oh, he’s an enneagram nerd too, so that’s a bonus!
