Though technically a cousin, Megan is Beth's older sister in all the ways that matter. Their friendship started the same as many sisterhoods - full of childhood fights over nothing that mattered, which eventually gave way to a closeness that Beth wouldn't trade for anything. Like sisters, Beth has always looked up to Megan and enjoyed learning about life from her.

Cade's oldest friend Jack grew up next door. From childhood crawfish hunting, to xbox on the basement couch, to DC bar hopping Jack and Cade have been through about everything imaginable together these last 30 years. We can only imagine what the next 30 hold.
Maggie Sandoval

Maggie started as Beth's orientee in the emergency department, but their professional relationship was quickly exchanged for one of close friendship. Its difficult making friends as an adult, and Beth is forever thankful for finding a friend that she can bore with animal facts and be her true silly and wild self with.
Matt Goodsell

Technically "Goody" and Cade met at Colgate in 2014 unkowingly sharing their hobby of having catastrophic ankle injuries playing ultimate frisbee. It would take another year to actually hang out and form a quick friendship. Senior year roomates, Matt and Cade have stayed close despite geographical differences through late night gaming sessions and random calls to vent about Masters programs, job hunts, and the Leafs.
Cecilia Sanders

When Beth was nine years old she moved to a new town and luckily Cecilia was there to be the most perfect neighbor and childhood friend to ever exist. Though they were living in rural southern Maryland, hanging out with Cecilia meant that Beth would be transported to Hogwarts, Narnia, Hobbinton, or beyond on a regular basis as they played make believe and resisted the terrors of growing older.

Another Colgate accomplice there are few friends anyone could have that are more loyal than Dan. The steadfast core of the greater Colgate friend group, Dan is just as happy at 2am trading stories around the campfire as he is getting far too invested in a game of Chel.
Amanda Esposito

It was fate and amazing luck when Beth's new friend at work ended up having the coolest wife ever. Introduced through Amanda's husband, Beth and Amanda quickly bonded over a mutual love for the weird and wonderful. Amanda is a wealth of knowledge of books, IPA's, fanfiction, and obscure sports.

Traumabonded in the ER, "Virginia Matt" and Cade have developed the kind of friendship that is only possible through equal parts working in emergency medicine, korean BBQ and spur of the moment hangouts (MGM is only an hour from the venue...)

Nicholas is another cousin that Beth spent a large amount of her childhood with. Beth and Nicholas would spend their time bouncing between watching Pokemon, playing Nintendo, and getting up to other early 2000s fun.
Braden Vernet

The middle brother and another Alexandria local, Braden has managed to forgive Cade for the years of lying about touching his legos. And theyve only grown closer hanging out in Alexandria and watching monster trucks in DC.
Colin Vernet

The oldest Vernet Boy, it was easy to look up to Colin growing up. And although he may no longer be the tallest of the three the impact he continues to have on Cade's life can never be understated. Since he talked Cade into getting a job being his barback it is only fair we make him pull double duty now. And we could not be happier to have him be such an integral part of our ceremony, as we are sure he will continue to be an equally significant part of our future.
