Our Story

A saga of 1,246 miles

Like all good love stories, this one starts at a wedding. Beth was the maid of honor for her best friend Jennie and Bryan was a groomsman for his childhood friend Drew. Beth and Bryan flirted throughout the wedding weekend and while it wasn't love at first sight, it was pretty close. Bryan failed to secure Beth's number and when she disappeared after the party, he was sure he'd never see her again since she was living in Portland, Oregon and he was living in Denver, Colorado. Drew, however, had given Bryan's phone number to Beth after the wedding and two days later, Bryan received a text message with a terrible band name suggestion (something they'd joked about all weekend long at the wedding). Though they lived a whopping 1,246 miles apart, the pair felt like they had something too good to give up on. After five months of constant texting and a ton of buildup, Beth flew out to Denver for their first date. Bryan picked her up at the airport and took her to... Top Golf. Despite the fact that it wasn't the most romantic venue for their first date and the fact that Beth is incredibly uncoordinated, they somehow managed to hit it off. They spent four months flying back and forth visiting each other in their respective cities, facetiming endlessly, and falling in love. In the end, Beth packed her bags and moved back home to Colorado in February of 2019. Ten months later, on Christmas Eve, Bryan got down on one knee in front of their Christmas tree in their new home together and asked Beth to marry him. She said yes. They’ve decided to spend the rest of their days together and are hoping that you’ll join them to celebrate the love and life they've built together.
