Although we’ll be celebrating in paradise, our wedding will be a formal event. We encourage elegant attire suited for a warm, outdoor setting—think gowns, cocktail or floor-length dresses, and lightweight suits. Please note that the ceremony and reception will be indoors but there will be a lot of time spent outdoors; block heels, wedges, or dressy flats are recommended. A light jacket or wrap is helpful for evenings or breezy beach moments. A compact umbrella can be useful, but most rain showers are brief.
We suggest arriving at least one day before the wedding to settle in, adjust to the time change, and enjoy the island without rushing. There will also be a welcome dinner the night before the wedding that everyone is invited to!
March is a great time to visit! Expect daytime highs in the mid-70s to low-80s°F, cooler evenings, and a mix of sunshine with occasional light rain showers. Rain usually passes quickly and keeps the island lush and green. Rainier weather is expected more frequently in the North shore.
Yes—renting a car is highly recommended. Kauai is not very walkable, and ride-share options are limited, especially outside resort areas.
Kauai is on Hawaiian Standard Time (HST). Daylight savings is March 8th, so by the wedding on March 13th, Kauai will be 3 hours behind the West Coast, 5 hours behind central time, and 6 hours behind East Coast time (sorry)!
Yes, but swimming conditions vary. It is smart to check online or with a lifeguard before entering the water.
Yes! March is a popular travel month. We recommend booking restaurants, tours, and activities in advance, especially for sunset dinners and boat tours.
