Our story began over two decades ago at our local bowling alley, Tri-City Lanes. Toby, fueled by the encouragement of his friends, mustered the courage to approach Courtney at the concession stand. After a somewhat awkward but lasting introduction, and before the cell phone was around, AOL kept us connected over time. We were just two kids, unaware that those early moments would eventually lead us back to each other. Life took us in different directions for a while, but we always stayed loosely connected. As the years passed and we both did some growing (and growing up), God had His own timing. When we reconnected as adults, everything felt familiar in the best way—easy conversations, comfortable laughter, and a sense of peace that let us know this time, it was different. Since then, our journey has been full of unexpected blessings—one of the biggest being our daughter, who’s been the sweetest reminder of how beautifully God weaves stories together. Watching our love grow into a family has been one of the greatest gifts we’ve ever known. Looking back, we know it wasn’t just chance. Jesus was guiding us the whole way. (Whether we knew it or not.) He brought us back together at just the right time! We’re so thankful for this second chance and excited to build a life with Him as our foundation. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with the people who’ve loved and supported us along the way. “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” — 1 Corinthians 13:13
