Back in 2017, Ugochi and David first connected through their love for dance, stumbling upon each other’s dance videos on social media. Each admired the other’s flair for Afrobeat, French African music like Coupé-Décalé, Dancehall, and Hip Hop, leading them to start practicing and training together. This dance partnership quickly evolved into a deep friendship and, ultimately, love, as they became inseparable. Over time, their lives intertwined through laughter-filled competitions to see who could crack the best joke, shared adventures, celebrations, meaningful growth and joint exploration of faith and identity in Christ. Throughout their journey, as they learned from each other, they realized how perfectly they complemented each other. Ready to take the next step in their journey, David proposed during their first vacation together in the Dominican Republic, setting the stage for their commitment to each other. Now engaged, Ugochi and David look forward to a future where they continue to dance through life together, building a family and embodying the essence of God’s magnificent love.
