Let's take it all the way back to 4th grade when Jordan moved to Andrews. In this particular small town, everyone knows everyone. We were a year apart, so we never spent much time together until my Senior year and his Junior year of high school. We were in show choir together and became the best of friends who just happened to fall in love. We began to spend endless amounts of time together, day in and day out. I always thought we would just remain friends, especially since I was headed off to college in a few short months... The Lord definitely had a different plan than I did & I'm perfectly okay with that. 'Best friends' turned into best friends who held hands, then best friends who kissed, now... we're best friends who are getting married.
Both of us knew early on that we didn't want to spend the rest of our lives without one another. We were in a long distance relationship for a little over 3 years. Once Jordan moved to Lubbock to be in the same town as me, I just knew that it would be happening sooner or later. We were SO ready to begin our life together. The holidays were right around the corner and I just KNEW it was happening over Thanksgiving... so I thought. Jordan has had this proposal planned out for awhile now and kept a pretty good secret, along with my family and coworkers. We both work at the wedding venue that we are getting married at and our company was in the process of building the chapel. During the construction, I told Jordan that that would be the place we would get married someday. He tagged teamed with my boss and coworkers into tricking me that the girls and I had a meeting one afternoon and we were going to go over a few things in the chapel. So, I came to the "meeting" and then we headed over to the chapel. I was the first one to walk into the chapel and next thing I know, the door is shutting behind me and I am welcomed with an aisle of rose petals, candles, and the love of my life standing around the corner. The next thing I know, Jordan is on his knee and I am saying "yes" to my forever. My family drove down and surprised me and we got to celebrate all together the rest of the day. It was perfect. Jordan was determined to make the chapel a meaningful place in our relationship and sure enough... he succeeded.
When we started to plan out our wedding, we knew we wanted to do something a little more unique than usual. Jordan and I are far from night owls and both live with old souls, so we had the idea of a morning wedding and fell completely in love with the idea. We are head over hills for Jesus and both know that we wouldn't be where we are today without His grace and mercy. We love brunch and coffee more than you know, and we both enjoy the feeling of a summer morning. With that, a Sunday morning wedding just made perfect sense. We want it to be filled with so much love, celebration, and syrup. Come as you are, celebrate what The Lord has done in our relationship, and be happily filled with waffles and fellowship.
