We adore your kids—but between the mountains, the whiskey, and the open flames, this party is best left to the grown-ups. Please join us for a well-deserved adults-only weekend in the Montana mountains! (One exception: our sweet flower girl will be holding down the fort for the kid crew.)
We're getting married in the great outdoors - think trees, fresh mountain air, a cozy backyard, and probably a critter or two. It's a backyard wedding in the mountains, so leave the ball gowns and tuxedos at home (unless that's your vibe, then power to you). Please no jean shorts, no athletic wear, and no cargo pants that can double as your backpack. Dress like you're going to a laid-back garden party in the mountains. Something nice, but comfortable. Think: sundresses, jumpsuits, dress shirts, nice pants, cowboy boots and bolo ties (if you fancy). If you’d like to blend in with the scenery (and the photos!), think earthy tones, muted blues, soft neutrals, and warm sunset shades. Shoes should be grass and gravel friendly. Heels will sink, and regret will follow. Bonus points for Chacos! Extra bonus points for layers, mountain weather is moody.
Clothing required.
Great question! Renee's Backyard is located about 15 minutes from Helena, up a winding road with limited parking. Booze will be flowing at our wedding and we want to ensure each and every one of you arrives home safely at the end of the night. We will provide exact pick-up locations for the shuttle and a contact as the date approaches.
There are a lot of bars and restaurants on North Last Chance Gulch. It is a walking mall. Check it out! During the summer months, the Helena Farmers Market is on Saturdays starting at 9:00 AM at Women's Park off Fuller Avenue. Helena has a lot of great hiking and mountain biking trails. It is also home to the Missouri River--blue ribbon trout fishing.
