Lisa Ann-Marie

Maid of Honor

Met this awesome lady back in 2013. I was interested in the dance ministry at church and so when I joined the team that’s when our story/friendship began. Lisa is very passionate about the things she loves including her close friends. We fight and argue like sisters but at the end of the day, we are able to talk about our differences, mend them and move on as nothing happened. I have learned so much from this young lady more than she knows, she has taught me to express my emotions more and not to hold it in. Having a sister-friend whom you can pray, minister, and have fun together has been nothing but a blessing. Honored to have you by my side on my big day!

Erny Morphy

Best Man

We go way back to High school and like wine, the friendship only gets sweeter with age. He's been practically there for every one of my serious relationships (not that I have had many). We've been through rough rides and bumpy roads but still, we stand. He is very dependable, trustworthy, kind and humble. It's an honor to truly have him sharing my special day with me as my best man.

Christine Juwle

Bridesmaid

Met this resilient lady in 2013 in the dance ministry at church, introduced to by Lisa. Christine and I are so alike in many ways, not only does she have such a kind and caring soul she's very observant and honest lol. It’s rare to find girlfriends who genuinely care about your well being so I want to say thank you for the check-ins, allowing me to be myself with you and you being honest and open with me. Thank God for our friendship!

Leroy Sanyi

Groomsman

If you want to know who Benjamin Kicks will most likely have on his favorite list of buyers, he will be one them. This brother had some of the illest sneakers in High School and not just that but the swag to go with it. I came to discover later on that he loved music as much as I did and that he could actually sing. A mutual friend of ours got us together and the intention was to work on a song which never happened but we did have the opportunity to collaborate on several songs years later.

Patience Gaye

Bridesmaid

I have known this talented selfless kind-hearted lady since 2012 but became very close friends in 2014. Patience is my go-to person for everything; hair, fashion, decor, advice on friendships and relationships, and did I mention my wedding planner?! She supports me in every way, shape and form possible and our friendship has been nothing but a blessing and it keeps getting stronger and stronger.

Philbert Mac Etchu

Groomsman

Can you remember any of your friends from the time you were 3 years old? Well for me this is one of them. Our friendship is inching closer to 3 decades now and we ain't that old (so stop the calculations!). We were in the same class at nursery school and I'm happy to see that we are all doing well in our respective endeavors. Our teachers must be proud of us.

Efua Kum

Bridesmaid

This beautiful young lady was introduced to me by her brother in 2011 during our undergrad years. Once that introduction was made I knew right then that this would be a friendship for the long run. Efua is a sister-friend that doesn’t sugar coat things just to make you feel good, she keeps it all the way 100 with you lol and I respect that because I value honesty especially from friends. Our support for each other is incredible and I am so blessed for this friendship.

Ayuk Manda

Groomsman

We've traveled a very long road together. Our parents have known themselves for donkey years. If I ever had to call upon anybody to represent my dad in the United States, it will be his dad. That's how close the families are. Having known him for this long also means that he couldn't escape the unpleasant experience of dealing with my naughty side. Ever so humble and perfect gentlemen he is.

Blandine Mua

Bridesmaid

I met this kind soul back in back in 2012 at a flash mob rehearsal not long after I had just graduated undergrad and had moved back home. We introduced ourselves to each other, and I believe she was the only other person from Cameroon on the team so that was definitely exciting to relate on many levels lol. Our friendship picked up from there, she is a very easy-going, talented young lady whom I love because she allows me to fully be myself. I cherish our friendship.

Arreytambe Etah

Groomsman

The person I have known the longest on this side of the dirt because we have a lot we've shared together. We shared the same womb, same bed, same bags, same shoes, and clothes (at times). We had so many fights and arguments when we were younger to the point that our parents probably thought that we didn't like each other but I guess it was part of the growing up process. I can be crazy at times but I know he'll always have my back and it's indeed a pleasure to have him serving as one of my groomsmen.

Hazara Kawah

Bridesmaid

I met this brilliant young lady in 2014 in the dance ministry. When I met Dewina I loved her spirit from the start. Dewina has a very easy-going soul, which I love and adore, she creates a space very comfortable for me to freely talk to her about anything without feeling judged nor her being biased. Thank you for who you are and who you have been to me since the start of our friendship.

Ezekiel Soremekun

Groomsman

I remember when I heard that there was this fresh guy who had just come to campus. This was when I was doing my MSc Computer Science in Abuja, Nigeria. Girls and guys alike were talking about him. We bypassed each other in the cafeteria. Never said hi and then I saw him in our first class. Fast forward we ended up becoming next-door neighbors during our time on campus as MSc and Ph.D. students and spent an insane amount of time and nights debating who was a better FIFA player. Well, we may just have an opportunity to bring that argument to a close before the wedding.

Nicole Gwanzura

Bridesmaid

I met this smart young woman in 2009 during our undergrad years in Radford university. When she told me she was from Zimbabwe, I was very intrigued which was then the beginning of our friendship. Nicky, I call her has always supported me in the very thing I wanted to do if she feels not sure about something she definitely lets me know and her honesty has always been appreciated. She has definitely pushed and encouraged me when I didn’t feel able to, for example with pursuing my masters, I did so much talking with no action and she was tired of it lol and pushed me to put it into action. Thank you!!!

Thierry Noumessi

Groomsman

Never have I connected with someone so quickly as I did with this brother right here. Met him in 2016 and it feels as if I have known him forever. We have a lot of things in common like working in the world of software and a burning passion to unlock opportunities for young African's on the continent and around the world.

Kiersten Tambe

Junior Bridesmaid

I have known this smart and multitalented young lady since she was born lol in 2005. She is my little cousin so I can write a whole book on her but I won’t bore you all. Even though this young lady is like my baby I have learned so much from her, she definitely pushes the barriers in what she wants to do and what she is capable of doing. She shows me that it is okay to be authentic, go for whatever your heart desires and more. So blessed to have her in my life forever not by choice lol and can’t wait to see her grow and be this wonderful woman God designed her to be.

Preston Tambe

Junior Groomsman

I have known Preston for as long as I have known Bessem because he is her little (but not so little anymore) cousin. Preston is a fine young gentleman with a lot of potentials. I remember when Bessem and I started dating (yes those very early years of our relationship), Preston came over to me one day and asked, "Uncle Tabot, are you in love with Bessem?" I was taken aback not by the question but by the fact that he understood in his own way a thing or two about love. I told him I was and he followed up to ask if I was going to marry her. Well, that's why we are here today. I am so glad to have him serving as my junior groomsman. I know that one day it will be his turn and I'll be the one asking the hard questions but until then I'll keep on answering his questions.

For all the days along the way
