Bess and Ben met on a blind date 5 years ago. Ben arranged an amazing date at East Lake Golf Club for the TOUR Championship, hedging his bets that if the date was a total dud, he'd at least be able to enjoy an afternoon of watching golf! While Bess still admits to knowing nothing about golf, she enjoyed the day and getting to know Ben. What could have ended after a full afternoon of golf, instead continued on to dinner and drinks. The rest, as they say, is history!

Ben orchestrated a surprise proposal on their 4-year anniversary trip to their favorite spot in Dahlonega, GA - Frogtown Cellars. With the help of a few very important people (and a very special bottle of wine), Ben asked Bess to marry him. She said "YES!", and then was speechless for almost 24 hours (the one and only time this has happened).

Bess and Ben originally planned to get married on November 7th, 2020... COVID-19 obviously had other plans... After much reflection, they made the decision in April to delay their wedding date to April 17th, 2021. As of January 2021, Bess and Ben have decided that the current COVID realities will still not make it possible for them to get married this April the way they envisioned - with all of their loved ones safely able to be join them - so they are once again postponing their wedding date. Bess and Ben now will celebrate their wedding with you all on October 10th, 2021. This new date is very special to Bess and Ben because it’s coming full circle - they had their first blind date on a fall Sunday at East Lake almost 6 years ago, and now Bess and Ben will say "I do" in front of all their family and friends on another fall Sunday right where it all began for them.
