Here are some areas Sean and Han suggest for staying around San Diego

Cool neighborhoods with good food/bars around: North Park, Normal Heights, Kensington, Hillcrest, University Heights. North Park and Normal Heights are where Sean and Han lived when they first started dating! Beach Areas: PB, OB, Mission Beach, La Jolla Mission Valley has lots of hotels along the 8 freeway that can be cheap and close to the venue!

San Diego International Airport

San Diego International Airport will be the best airport to fly into! It is only a 10 minute drive to the venue, as well as downtown San Diego! Unfortunately, there are no direct flights from Rochester or Buffalo

John Wayne Airport

John Wayne Airport is located in Orange County, CA. It is about an hour and a half north of San Diego, but could be a good option if you are planning on renting a car and want to see more of Southern California!

Flight

Los Angeles International Airport

LAX is the only airport with a direct flight from Western New York (from Buffalo, not Rochester). It can be cheaper than San Diego or John Wayne airports, but is about 2.5 hours north of San Diego. Be prepared for traffic if you choose to fly into LAX!

Train

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner

From LAX, it is about a 45 minute drive / Uber to the closest train station that goes to San Diego. The train ride is about 3 hours long, but you get a nice view of the coastline for part of it! From John Wayne, it is about a 10 minute drive to the train station and the train ride is about 2 hours long.
