We're getting married!

We met working at Chick-fil-A. I worked up front and Bert worked in the kitchen. He was the quiet, "new guy" that seriously (emphasis on serious) served fries and breaded chicken. I was the sometimes loud, playful girl that was still finding her way after ending a terrible relationship. I had no clue that Bert secretly had a crush on me. He never said a word to me! Several months, and one special day later- Bert mustered up the courage to call me one night and ask me on our first date.

I was up early getting ready to open gifts with my family. Something told me to change into my red Chick-fil-A T-shirt to match my green pj pants. My sister insisted that we gather around and watch this YouTube video. It was odd to me, but who argues on Christmas, right? On the laptop screen, was Bert and his little sister. He was being "interviewed" about his photography and what got him started with it. He sweetly shouted me out. All I remember them saying is, "Leslie if you're watching this, head outside, your gift is waiting for you!" (I honestly thought I was getting a new car LOL) I opened the front door to see my guy standing in the front driveway with rose petals, candles scattered, and an aisle for me to get to him. John Mayer was playing softly in the background and his sister had her camera ready. It was THEN that I processed what was about to happen. Pjs and all, Bert took my hand and asked me for forever.
