It was March 2016 and we were both on a detachment in Fort Worth, TX. Before this detachment we had no clue who either one was even though we had been working in the same place for over a year! I had seen Terry walking around outside the rooms we were staying in and asked one of my friends who he was. His blonde hair and pretty blue eyes caught my attention...can you blame me? That weekend I went out with a group of friends and ended up at the same bar/club he and his friends were at. I saw him sitting alone so I decided to go up to him and ask him to dance. He declined and his excuse was he was trying to sober up a bit. So I left and went to dance for a while. I decided to come back and ask him again, and this time he accepted my offer. We danced all night and went our separate ways once we got back on base. The next day a couple of friends started grilling outside so I decided to join. Terry showed up and sat across from me at the table. I received a text from a 360 area code number and I loudly said who the heck is this?! Then I replied and it was him. I asked how he got my number because I didn't give it to him and he had asked one of our mutual friends, Daisy, for it. Shout out to Daisy btw! And that's how our love story began! ❤️
