*As of right now there are no changes with the venue or times. We don't anticipate any changes either.* We can't wait to celebrate with you! Jim and I both graduated from Starpoint High School, two years apart. Fast forward 10 years-The beginning of our love story will probably surprise you but it did not start in high school. It began with me denying going on a date with Jim. My sister-in-law Kim and Jim's cousin Christine are cousins and NO- Jim and I are not related. Christine brought the idea to Kim about setting us up - they do deserve some credit :) Kim asked if I remembered Jim from high school. I do remember him playing hockey and actually being at his parent's house for a high school party. Kim asked if I would want his number and I kept putting it off. Finally, I agreed to a group date out on the boat with Chris, Kim, Kelly Flynn, Christine, Tom, Jim and I. We texted a couple days before, and I was not nervous to see him. But, when the day came and I saw him, butterflies hit my stomach out of thin air. We had a great night and saw each other the following evening. We relaxed on his deck with his new puppy (Mya!). Let's be honest, she won me over right away :) Jim and I talked all night, about everything, while sipping on Chardonnay under the summer night sky with Mya sleeping on my lap. Jim and I instantly fell in love and I can say it is the most magical moments of my life leading up to the day he proposed. He proposed on a local bike path while we were taking Mya for a walk. He had his cousin Christine take photos of us leading up to the moment that he got down on one knee. I was out of my mind excited. He planned the most amazing day for us, with a surprise engagement/birthday party for us/me with family and friends waiting at our house. He makes me so happy and I cannot wait to start this new chapter in our lives as Mr. & Mrs. Rettig :)
