Groom
Father of the Bride
Rachael was a daddy’s girl from the start and always will be. Her dad has been her biggest supporter, especially with soccer, always playing "We Are the Champions" before her games. He’s the one who gave her a deep love for music, even if she and Kira insisted on the Spice Girls while he was trying to show them Jimi Hendrix or Led Zeppelin. Rachael loves singing along with him while he plays guitar, and she’s so grateful for all the moments they’ve shared. Richard is quiet, always observing, but when he speaks, it’s full of wisdom. She’s incredibly lucky to have such a smart, kind, and supportive dad.
Father of the Groom
Bernie’s dad, Buddy, is nothing short of a local legend—basically the town’s unofficial celebrity, known for turning any party into a full-blown event. Pick any bar within a ten-mile radius and you can bet Buddy has sang “Sweet Caroline” on top of their bar. But beyond the rockstar moments, Buddy’s been Bernie’s go-to for everything—advice, motivation, and just being the guy Bernie can always count on. Whether they’re glued to an Eagles or Phillies game, playing a round of golf, competing against each other in Jeopardy, hopping on a spontaneous trip to Ireland, or just sitting around solving the world’s problems, Bernie’s lucky to call Buddy “Dad.”
Mother of the Bride
Rachael’s mom, Linda, is a one-of-a-kind lady with a radiant energy you can’t miss. You can always spot her in a crowd by her distinctive voice and lively presence. She’s the life of the party, always hosting and making sure everyone’s having a blast. Linda introduced Rachael to all the hippy-dippy ways—rocks, crystals, and helping her explore her spiritual side. She’s also a master gardener and passed down her green thumb to Rachael. Linda is nurturing, fun, and brings warmth and joy wherever she goes. Rachael is so grateful for her mom and the amazing influence she’s had in her life. She's truly one of a kind, and Rachael’s luminous lady through and through.
Mother of the Groom
Bernie loves his mom for more reasons than he can count—though a few stand out. She’s got the perfect balance of kindness and fierceness, like a superhero in disguise, and she’s mastered the art of savoring life’s little victories (like beating Dad at backgammon). Her "sweet lovin' dip" is legendary among Bernie’s friends, and she’s basically the queen of hosting parties—a woman worthy of a crown. Terry was at every sports game Bernie ever played, proving she’s not just the rock of the family but the entire fan club, too. She’s been there through Bernie’s good and bad decisions and he is forever grateful for a mom who’s always got his back—and a dip that’s worth fighting for.
Matron of Honor
Kira’s Rachael’s younger sister, though everyone always thought they were twins or that Kira was the older one! They’ve definitely had their fair share of sisterly spats, but they’ve always been close and only gotten closer over the years. Whether they’re laughing until they can’t breathe or just exchanging a look that says it all, there’s no one who gets Rachael like Kira does. She’s also the one who always gets things done, no questions asked. Rachael looks up to her in so many ways—Kira’s witty, effortlessly funny, and ridiculously smart. Kira’s expecting a baby in July, and even though he’s not here yet, he’ll be part of the wedding party as a two-month-old! Rachael is so lucky to have her as a sister and to have her by her side as Matron of Honor
Best Man
If you’ve ever seen Bernie and Buck, you know their bromance runs deep. Back in middle school, Buck practically moved in for 10 days straight, surviving on Doritos and late-night gaming marathons while trying to outdo each other in endless games of H-O-R-S-E. Fast forward to high school, and their friendship only grew, marked by unforgettable moments and plenty of questionable life choices. After college, they took Europe by storm, conquering dance floors in five countries, proving that rhythm is optional but enthusiasm is not. Through all the highs and lows, Buck has always had Bernie’s back, and now, as his best man, Bernie feels incredibly grateful for a friendship that’s stood the test of time and will continue to be a cornerstone of his life.
Bridesmaid
Rachael met Heather in elementary school, and they became close in 5th grade during morning circle. From their childhood days to their angsty scene girl phase as teenagers, they’ve been through it all together. Even when Heather moved away before high school, Rachael made sure to visit, including all the way to Japan! Reunited in college at VCU, they stayed close with plenty of fun adventures along the way. Whether they’re thrifting, playing board games, girl talking, or watching scary movies (that Heather forces Rachael to watch), they always have a blast. Heather’s the sun to Rachael’s moon, and their matching tattoos remind them of the perfect balance they’ve always shared. Oh, and she’ll kick your butt in the gym!
Groomsman
Bernie met Wan in middle school when Wan was in a committed relationship—with sweatpants. Every single day for over three years, he wore those sweatpants like they were his signature look, making them almost as iconic as their friendship. Just like those trusty sweatpants, Wan was reliable, always showing up when it mattered most. As the years passed, so did Wan’s wardrobe choices (thankfully), but that reliability and sense of humor stayed constant. They balanced partying and sports in high school, creating memories that still make them laugh today. As adults, they’ve kept their childhood wonder, finding joy in life’s small moments, whether they’re playing Catan or just hanging out. Some things never go out of style—like their friendship, a love for sweatpants, and the memories they’ve made together.
Bridesmaid
Rachael and Kelsay have known each other since elementary school, growing up in the same neighborhood. They were always walking to each other’s houses and having endless sleepovers. They’d mess around with fun photoshoots and eat flaming hot Spaghettios in Kelsay’s basement (she gets it). They continued into college together at VCU like they knew they would, and through every phase of life, they’ve stayed close. Kelsay doesn’t mess around when it comes to her friends—she’s fierce, bubbly, and always keeps it real. Now living in Arizona, their visits are always filled with laughs, and you can bet they’ll end up at a nice winery. Rachael’s lucky to have Kelsay in her life and knows the good times will keep coming.
Groomsman
Bernie and Odo have been ride-or-die friends since middle school, perfecting the art of inspiring and instigating each other through every phase of life. High school jokes? Check. College shenanigans? Double check. Their 20s and 30s? A nonstop adventure of epic tales and good times. Whether plotting their next mischief or simply hanging out, these two are happiest in each other’s company, proving that some friendships are fueled by endless laughter and just the right amount of chaos. Through both wild times and quieter moments, their friendship has been a constant source of laughter, support, and unshakeable loyalty, built on shared history, an unspoken understanding, and a mutual love for life’s unpredictable ride.
Bridesmaid
Rachael and Anna met in middle school but ran in different crowds until they became close junior year of high school, when they both got involved in jazz and show choir. They loved singing together, and you’ll still find them randomly harmonizing mid-conversation. Anna matches Rachael's weirdness in all the best ways, keeping things light, fun, and always entertaining. Even though they went to different colleges, they stayed close, visiting each other and making sure their bond stayed strong. Anna is a force to be reckoned with—once she sets her mind to something, she makes it happen. Rachael can always count on her, and together, they’re always pushing each other to be the best versions of themselves.
Groomsman
Bernie and Russel have been friends since middle school, through high school and into college where Russel moved into his college house for a month, because, why not? They worked at Maynard’s together (a legendary dive bar), often working until 5 a.m. and then partying after that. They traveled to London together at 18, sparking their love for travel and adventure. Russel is a staple at any McCabe party, often helping out more than Bernie did. It’s a friendship that became family and always will be.
Bridesmaid
Haley and Rachael instantly clicked when they met in 2017 after Haley moved to Charlottesville, thanks to Anna, who made the introduction. From a fun night out on the UVA Corner to diving into the Charlottesville music scene, their friendship blossomed and evolved into music festivals and more. They share a love for bluegrass and can’t resist dancing whenever the music hits. They also love being out in nature—whether it's hiking up mountains or tubing on the river. Haley is a bottle of sunshine, always bringing her positive energy and sweet soul wherever she goes. She's always up for a good time and knows how to make every moment fun.
Groomsman
Bernie and Bobby go way back to grade school, where they set unofficial records for jumping over towers of pillows in Bob’s parent's basement. Their bond has only grown stronger over the years, whether it’s a round of golf, beers and a game of pool, or simply sharing stories and laughs. They've mastered the art of enjoying the little things, finding joy in everyday moments that most would overlook. Their friendship is built on a solid foundation of shared memories, laughter, and the kind of comfort that comes from years of being there for each other.
Bridesmaid
Rachael met Kaitlyn in a Dante’s Inferno class at VCU—a brutal 3-hour stretch that was tough to get through. So, they’d often sneak out early and head to Rachael’s place, just across the street from class. What started as little escapes turned into a solid friendship, and they decided to live together for the rest of Rachael’s college years. Kaitlyn became Rachael’s fashion guru, always lending her clothes for nights out, music shows, and house parties. Their college years were full of wild adventures—bike rides at 3 AM, all-nighters in the library, and living life to the fullest. Now, out of college and a little less wild, Rachael loves hanging out with Kaitlyn and her kiddos. Kaitlyn’s a go-getter, a trendsetter, a total mommy role model, and of course, an amazing friend who always has Rachael’s back.
Groomsman
Bernie and Jordan go way back to middle school, but their friendship hit new heights when Jordan moved into Bernie’s apartment in Prague for three months. Together, they demolished countless late-night kebabs, sailed the Croatian coast, island-hopped in Greece, and road-tripped through Austria and Slovenia. Whether navigating foreign lands or a local dive bar, these two have shared epic adventures and endless laughs. Through good times and tough times, Bernie and Jordan stick together—because nothing bonds friends like late-night kebabs and a little international adventure.
Bridesmaid
Morgan and Rachael go way back to when Rachael moved next door in 2nd grade. They spent their childhood playing make-believe in the field across the street, having dance-offs to Brittany and Backstreet Boys, and running away from Morgan’s dog (sorry Kira and your stitches, haha). They both ended up at VCU and lived together for a year, where the dancing and show tunes never stopped. Morgan has always been like a big sister, guiding Rachael through the years, and she’s still inspiring her today. Morgan is hilarious, insanely talented—you’ve probably heard her voice in commercials, kids’ shows, or How I Caught My Killer on Hulu. As a voice actor, actress, and killer singer, she’s destined for big things. Even if they're miles apart, they’re always cheering each other on. Morgan’s passionate, loving, and always knows how to make the room feel brighter and more lively.
Groomsman
Bernie and Earl have been friends for over 30 years! They befriended each other in kindergarten and spent their childhood thick as thieves. Only a 30 second bike ride from each other, they covered every street of their hometown and have countless stories together. They beat hundreds of video games and played every sport together growing up. Their paths have taken them to different states and sometimes different countries, but when together, they never miss a beat.
Bridesmaid
Rachael met Stephanie back in 2017 when they worked together at a juice bar in Charlottesville. What started as making smoothies and juices quickly turned into gathering at dinner parties, where Stephanie always brought the best healthy and delicious dishes. She’s grounded, easygoing, and brings a sense of calm wherever she goes. Stephanie is always down for anything—whether it's exploring a new vineyard (with her sommelier wine skills!), trying out tai chi, or just relaxing with hot tea and great conversation. Their friendship has grown with laughs, good vibes, and lots of yummy food!
Groomsman
Bernie met Marci on the first day of kindergarten, and it was destiny at first snack time. When asked what they wanted to be when they grew up, Marci confidently declared "meteorologist," while Bernie declared "knight." Spoiler alert: Marci predicts the weather now, and Bernie was knighted at his bachelor party at the renaissance festival (still counts). Both were big soccer players growing up, they played in countless leagues and co-captained their High School team together. Off the pitch, their hobbies include belting out "Drunken Sailor" every St. Paddy's Day and hyping each other up like it's their full-time job.
Bridesmaid
Meghan is Bernie’s older sister, and her wisdom always shines through. Their sibling bond is built on years of inside jokes, friendly roasts, and always having each other’s backs. Meghan’s the kind of person who makes everything easier—whether you’re planning a trip, solving a problem, or picking a restaurant, she’s the reliable one you want on your team. From the moment Rachael met her, Meghan made her feel like part of the family, always welcoming her with open arms. Her son Otis will be walking down the aisle as the adorable ring-bearer.
Groomsman
Justin was one of the first people Bernie met when he moved to Charlottesville, and they hit it off immediately—like long-lost brothers or partners in crime. They bonded over epic concerts, wizard staff nights, and drunken tomfoolery, with Bernie always managing to rope Justin into some ridiculous escapade. Nicknamed “Princess” for reasons best left to the imagination, Justin is the kind of royal friend who’s always ready for the next laugh-filled adventure.
Bridesmaid
Mary Kate may be Bernie’s little sister, but she’s always done things her own way—confident, stylish, and effortlessly cool. She’s fun, always up for a good time, and somehow juggles it all while being an incredible mom of three. She and Bernie have been close since childhood, navigating high school together, then both became Mountaineers (WVU). Their bond is built on years of laughter and an unshakable sibling connection. From the very first time Rachael met Mary Kate, she felt instantly comfortable and welcomed, like she was already part of the family. Her daughters will be stealing the show as the cutest flower girls on the big day!
Groomsman
Bernie met Todd his first week in Charlottesville. Friendless in a new city, Bernie sent Todd a “hey girl” text the next day and the bromance was sealed. They spent their 20s roaming the downtown mall and navigating adulthood together, though they still act like dumb kids, especially during a round of golf. Bonus points if you can get Todd to bust out a spin move on the dance floor at the wedding—it’s worth the price of admission.
Flower Girl
McKenna, Hallie, and Isla are the dream team of flower girls, a trio of cuteness that could make even the toughest heart melt. With petals in hand and smiles so wide they could light up the entire aisle, they’re basically the fairy tale come to life—if fairy tales also involved a lot of twirling and spontaneous giggles. They’re here to steal the show, one flower at a time!
Ring Bearer
Otis, the ring-bearer, is a pint-sized legend with a love for dinosaurs and a roar that could probably shake the entire wedding venue—if he wasn’t so busy making sure his dinosaur figurines were properly lined up. He may be small, but when he stomps down the aisle, he does it like he's the T. rex of the party, ready to claim his title as the cutest (and loudest) dinosaur in the room.
