I met David by swiping right on a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel. Before meeting, I told David I was leaving the dating scene for a few reasons. Now knowing the kind of man David is, I believe his response was very telling of who he is to me. He said, “C’est la vie! Life happens and you’ll figure it out. We should still meet up!” Those words were not only significantly meaningful to me because they were what I needed to hear at that time, but they meant much more because those words are how I grew into a better version of myself with my best friend, the love of my life, and my future by my side. We’ve been enjoying our tequila together, with our family and friends, ever since!
For some odd reason, I was convinced that David was taking me on a surprise sunset beach cruise tour around Coronado Island in San Diego for our two year anniversary. Instead, there was a romantic private picnic set up just for the two of us! After an exchange of beautiful words reminicsing all the memories we’d created together, I was wondering why a strange man in a fadora (who had the ENTIRE BEACH to take pictures of the sunset) was so close to us during such a cute and intimate moment!! When I turned to tell David to check this guy out, David was no longer towering over me as usual, but at eye level. He was on one knee waiting for the answer that would change both our lives forever!
We’re excited to share our love with our family and friends who have supported us throughout our journey together. Our wedding day will be a memory we will cherish for the rest of our lives and can’t wait to look back on the overwhelming love, laughter and fun times we create together! Cheers!
