It all started with an introduction by my friend, Arthur Siakor; who happened to be Ben's cousin, the summer of 2013. My friends and I had a night out. While out and about, we ran into my friend, Arthur and his cousin, Ben. I peeped Ben from the corner of my eyes, and stated to myself "damn, homeboy looks good and edible." :-). Arthur then introduced us that night. We all socialized and had a great time. It didn't end there. Obviously, you know he was thinking "she too looks all type of snack like." :-). Due to a great night, we all decided to meet up for lunch the next day. We exchanged contact information and kept in touch. The vibe between us was so natural, and authentically worked itself out. We scheduled a wonderful date at one of my favorite restaurants, Zelo, and had a great night! Although we were feeling each other, Surprisingly, things didn't move into a dating direction immediately. However, we remained friends. In 2014, my friend, Arthur invited me to Ben's birthday party. In the words of my Liberian people "what for you shall see your face." :-) Ben and I once again re-connected. It all became history from that day. It has been a great journey with my soon to be husband. A journey that I will not want to have any other way. The Proposal So, here's how it all went down. I was put under the impression that I was planning a surprise party for a friend. I made reservation for massage and facial as a girl's self care day. It was quite the day to say the least! After massage and facial, we got dolled up. When I arrived at the restaurant, all I saw were MY families, and friends. I-JUST-DIDN'T-KNOW-HOW-TO-REACT!!! I walked in being the usual silly Bernice that I am ready to bust a move. Looked right, I saw my mother...I looked left, I saw my sisters/friends/aunt/pastor/in-laws etc. It was quite the moment! The day I waited for had finally a arrived!!!
