No! Eric loves to dress up, Bern likes to be comfortable, so between the two of them, you're probably covered. In all likelihood, our guests may show up in a range of things, from smart casual to formal. We encourage you to do you.
Food, drinks, vows, stories and music will all be integrated into a single program, within the same space. Please come hungry! We'd love to greet you and then get drinks and the first course started promptly at noon, with vows before the main course. This is a gathering of around 60 people, a sit-down meal served family-style.
Seasonal lunch offerings will be passed around each table family-style, with options for vegetarians, the carb-conscious, and omnivores. This will happen in courses. There will be an open bar with select house spirits, wines, bubbly and beer. If you let us know of food restrictions in your RSVP, you should have received an email from us about the items on the menu that should be friendly to you. Please let us know if you have further questions. The restaurant will also offer children some more kid-friendly menu options upon request.
The L is not running beteeen Manhattan and Brooklyn the weekend of the wedding! Consider connecting to the G line in Brooklyn. Nearest G station is Metropolitan Ave. For out-of-town visitors, you can now tap your phone on the (OMNY) subway gate readers for access without needing to purchase a physical subway ticket, if you have a credit/debit card linked on your phone's digital wallet. More info here: https://omny.info/
Staff at MyMoon suggest two nearby covered garages or free street parking. See the Parking tab on this site for map links you can use on your mobile device for GPS guidance. The restaurant does not offer valet parking.
Built in 1856, this was once a boiler room in industrial Williamsburg now converted into a Spanish restaurant, helmed by Chef Marco Antonio Paz Del Alamo, from Sevilla, Spain.
Nah. We've been together for a year or two, so we don't really need anything new. Yet if a gift is your intention, we thought we would mention, we're happy to have some pennies to put together, to save for something that we'll treasure, good memories, maybe an adventure. But just remember, what means the most is that you are with us to raise a toast!
Yep. At the door, look for your name card with your assigned table.
Masks and proof-of-vaccine are NOT required in restaurants or on public transit in NYC. Though you do you; please feel free to wear masks as you deem necessary. As of 20 December, 2022, the CDC and Mayor Adams have recommended that the public wear masks in public indoor spaces, given the trifecta of COVID, RSV and the flu, and the rising cases of COVID in NYC. The authorities have not reinstated a mask mandate. For those flying into the country, the US government is still not requiring a COVID test for entry. As far as we're aware, our invited guests are vaccinated, as are staff at the restaurant. MyMoon will be closed to the public for our event, so you can expect just wedding guests and restaurant staff present.
Our event at MyMoon is on the street level. There are no stairs required to access the main hall used that day. There is a covered patio guests will have access to that has a few steps leading up to it, but our main activities will be on the ground level. There is an ADA-compliant bathroom with wheelchair access. The event will be amplified.
The event is entirely indoors in a heated space. There will be a coat check at the door.
Their phone number is (718) 599-7007. Our coordinator there is Lee Chappell (he/him). Manager is Rajiv Herrera (he/him).
The majority of the time, we’re finding NYC cabs to be most cost effective. Uber tends to be the priciest, and Lyft slightly cheaper, though much depends on surge pricing and demand in the area. Locals like to download the Curb app, which allows you to order and even pre-order an NYC taxi just like you would with Uber and Lyft.
