Back in 2013 a mutual friend invited Bernadette to a small group called 11th hour. It was family fun night that July and Joseph asked if Bernadette wanted to join their game of Phase 10 at Jerry McCarty's dining room table. And since then they started talking slowly, not knowing they had an interest in each other. Joseph and Bernadette hung out more and more as the years progressed. They went to get pancakes the first time they hung out, but, they didn't get pancakes. Thus creating the famous saying, PNP (pancakes not pancakes). From seeing the Lego Movie to going on hikes Bernadette and Joseph's interest grew more and more. It wasn't brought to each other's attention until Bernadette's third year at GZMC where dating felt tricky but they trust God each step of the way. They started dating November 26, 2016 and since then they knew God placed each of them together for a reason. Joseph then (FINALLY) proposed July 21st, 2018 in Burlington at the Water Front. 80 sunflowers later and Bernadette said yes, except she would've with only 75. This couple is excited for more tacos, coffee, puppies and Jesus in their relationship and they can't wait until October.
