It was fate that Berkley and Spencer would end up together! Their parents picked all the same schooling and activities growing up! They both attended Ladue Chapel for nursery school, Community School for grade school and then MICDS for middle and high school. They have known of each other their entire lives. A VERY typical St. Louis origin story! In April 2017, after Berkley moved back from law school she met Spencer for drinks in Clayton and the rest is history!! They were seriously dating by the summer and have been inseparable ever since!

Spencer planned a magical proposal on top of Swan Mountain in Breckenridge, Colorado! Spencer told Berkley to dress for a nice brunch and drove her outside of town. They parked at the base of the mountain and he had her climb the mountain (in a sequin dress and heeled boots) to look at the views of downtown. After a fifteen minute walk up the snowy mountain, Spencer got down on one knee and proposed! Immediately after the proposal, a professional photographer, who was hidden, came out to greet the happy couple and they had a photo shoot at the top of the mountain. A snowy fairy tale for Berkley!
