Ryan and Berkley have known each other since 2013 where they met in high school choir as sophomore and freshman, respectively. The two were casual acquaintances all throughout high school, but never anything more. Ryan graduated high school in 2016 and went off to college in Wisconsin. Berkley and him only kept in contact through social media. During their time apart Ryan received his undergraduate degree, joined the Wisconsin National Guard, and weathered the COVID-19 pandemic with his friend in Chicago. He then enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Polk in Louisiana. Berkley left Texas and moved to California for her undergraduate degree in 2017. She then moved to Virginia to pursue a masters degree in 2021. Their love story ACTUALLY begins in 2023 when Berkley moved to Wichita, Kansas for work. Ryan took notice of Berkley's new state of residence because his mother had also recently moved to Kansas with her husband (a mere 2.5 hour drive from Wichita). On June 14th, 2023 Ryan drove from Louisiana to visit his mother for the long weekend and he invited Berkley to visit and go to the lake with him and his family. Unable to turn down a lake trip, Berkley drove to Olathe that weekend and the pair have been inseparable since. Ryan and Berkley rejoice in the fact that their lives were so full of fun, love, and adventures before they found their way back to each other. The pair have bonded over their shared love of board games, baseball, and sea shanties. They have laughed over FaceTime, driven hours to see each other, and weathered a deployment to get to this moment. Ryan and Berkley are so happy to be able to share their love with you in April.
