Our Story
From opposite sides of Abilene, Berkley and Braden grew up knowing of each other but never truly crossing paths. Braden attended Jim Ned High School while Berkley went to Abilene High School, connected through family friends and small-town familiarity. Everything changed at Abilene Christian University, where mutual friends brought them into the same circle. Though everyone around them insisted they’d be perfect together, they laughed it off, at least at first.
Freshman year Siggie formal in DFW changed everything. Friendship slowly turned into something more, followed by a classic ACU “date”, a car wash, and a Sonic Drive-In drink, where they finally admitted how they felt. Soon after, dinner at Fuzzy's Taco Shop ended with Braden asking Berkley to be his girlfriend.
Two and a half years later, overlooking the town that started it all, Braden asked Berkley to spend forever with him. Now, we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter of their story with you in Merkel!
