Justin and Vanessa met when they were just little kids running around, causing chaos at the fire station. Well, Justin was, at least. They lived their lives separate, yet so closely, for many years. They attended the same elementary, middle, and high school but never connected until their college years. In the first year of their relationship, Vanessa was finishing her last year at Iowa State, and Justin drove many miles to visit for a few hours and then left to make it back home in time for work (he may have gotten a speeding ticket or two along the way). The two decided to visit the Humane Society as their first summer approached and came home with their first dog, Goose. After living the apartment life, Justin, Vanessa, and Goose moved into their first house. A few months later, a rambunctious menace named Arlo entered the equation. In between house projects and working, the summer of '23 was off to a great start when Justin took Vanessa golfing and popped the question! The rest is still to be written, and they are excited to celebrate with friends and family!
