In Fall 2009 Jacob and Laura (“Lo”) met by colliding into each other during a game of capture the flag at Carnegie Mellon University. Over the years they became closer as friends, then close friends. In 2014 they began dating and on January 1, 2017 Jacob proposed on the Higgins street bridge over the Clark Fork River, in Missoula MT in 8 degrees Fahrenheit shortly after midnight.
