We met through my brother Ben. Ben and David work at the same Fedex terminal. David and Ben became friends and started playing games and hanging out together. Ben and Kennedy invited both David and I over to hang out and play games on several occasions. A few months in David reached out to me on snapchat about a picture I had taken of my crochet project and the lake. We haven't stopped texting since. I was a bit resistant to get in a relationship at first, but David was persistent and even as just friends he was always there for me. Everyone, including my parents, told me that this is a great guy and I should be with him. I still insisted we were just friends for the time being. David and I went and picked out a puppy together and that won me over, haha just kidding. Although Kili is definitely a great love, I still would have chosen David to be my Husband. In February I finally said yes to go out on a date with him. He is my better half, my rock, and I am so very blessed that God brought us together in His timing.

David and I both have had two wonderful men in our lives step up and be our dads. We wanted to honor them both and what better way to do that than have their last name carry on in our family as we grow. Ralph is David's dad and his last name is Cottrell. Todd is Hannah's dad and his last name is Bergin. David is changing his last name to Cottrell. Hyphenated last names are described as a merge of a woman's "maiden" and "married" names. Hannah is in the process of getting her surname changed to Bergin so that she can become Bergin-Cottrell.
