Tyler Rose Garden
Stop and smell the roses! Tyler, TX is known as the Rose Capital of the World. If you have time, check out the Rose Garden. Free of entry, this garden consists of 14 acres and thousands of rose bushes. During select hours visit the Tyler Rose Museum, where you can see the archives of past Texas Rose Festival costumes that are truly amazing. I look forward to Rose Festival every year. Andrew was an escort in 2021, his year's theme was Secrets of the Garden.
Bergfeld Park
Visit Splasher at Bergfeld Park! This Tyler landmark has a special connection to Andrew's family. His great-great-grandfather, Rudolph Bergfeld, gifted the 8.32-acre park to the City of Tyler in 1909. The park has plenty of picnic areas, tennis courts, playgrounds, and an amphitheater. Fun fact: Andrew's parents got engaged here!
Don Juan on the Square
This is Andrew's favorite Tex-Mex resturant in Tyler! Be careful when trying the red salsa, it is HOT... the first time he took me here I had tears in my eyes from the heat!
Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue
If you're looking for some true Texas BBQ, this is your place! They have outdoor seating and sometimes have live music. There is usually a wait but it is well worth it!
The Grove Kitchen & Gardens
You'll find all of the cute and trendy vibes here with fun cocktails, and delicious food! I love coming here, it's not always Andrews favorite LOL!
1836 Texas Kitchen
Andrew and I love to show our Texas pride, there's no doubt about that! For those of you traveling from out of state, 1836 is the year that Texas won its independence from Mexico. Head here for great drinks, Texas inspired dishes, or Sunday brunch!
Rick's on the Square
Ricks on the Square is one of Andrew and I's favorite bars! It is a resturant and bar located on the square with a fun outdoor patio. On Friday and Saturday nights they have a live band!
The Plaid Rabbit Social Club & Speakeasy at Culture ETX
Check out Downtown's one and only speakeasy! It has a unique Alice in Wonderland atmosphere with delicious craft cocktails.
Cowboys Icehouse
Cowboy's is your late-night bar in Tyler. This place is huge with plenty of pool tables and a huge dancefloor for two-stepping. It's truly a one-of-a-kind place.
