In September of 2024, we got engaged during a trip up to the North Shore. We hiked up to a place called Honeymoon Bluff after a suggestion from a resident at the rental condos we were staying at. Zach carved our initials into a wooden railing and proposed after he showed off his carving skills. The words “will you marry me?” were never spoken, just “do you want it?” “It” being the ring! After the ring was on my finger, I had him carve the initials BB for Baby Berge, since I was a couple months pregnant with our sweet babe and wanted our little love to be included in our special moment.
