One of our favorite date night spots since college! We highly recommend getting a pizza and trying their homemade gelato.
For an elevated date night, this is our favorite place serving up nordic inspired dishes. The patio cannot be beat during the summer along the river & their cocktails are delicious. Don't skip the hasslehoffs!
Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, established in 1907, is the oldest state park in North Dakota and provides a variety of unique adventures to travelers of all ages.
A Berger family favorite, a great diner downtown Mandan!
This is a free museum showcasing the history of North Dakota on the State Capitol grounds. A great stop for first-time visitors and children! We recommend walking over to the state Capitol building and seeing the legislative chambers & going up to the 18th floor. Liv used to work at the Capitol building & her parents live nearby, so she's been on many walks around the grounds!
A café with excellent brunch by day transforming into an Italian inspired pasta & wine bar at night.
Excellent pastries, sandwiches, and lattes right downtown Bismarck. A perfect way to start your morning!
We love the BBQ and beer here. (The elote cornbread is incredible!) Most nights, there is live music and they have tons of games to play.
German style food in a unique old-fashioned diner. This is a great place to try a North Dakota staple, Knoephla Soup!
Fun patio along the river, so fun on a summer day!
The best place in downtown Mandan for a quick, no-frills grab-and-go lunch is Butcher Block Meats. Known as a local institution, this butcher shop offers a variety of freshly made sandwiches, deli items, and other delicious lunch options. Its convenient location makes it easy to pick up a meal and head over to Dykshorn Park for a picnic.
