We kindly ask that regardless of your vaccination status, you take the health and safety of all wedding guests into account and stay home if you test positive for COVID or experience any symptoms.
Buena Vista is a charming town. Part of the reason it's charming? It's small. We suggest booking your lodging as soon as possible. We also suggest trying to find a spot in Buena Vista. Salida is a neighboring town, 30 minutes away. If possible, staying in Buena Vista will be more convenient for the weekend festivities. See the 'Travel & Accommodations' tab for more details.
Yes, a rental car is suggested. Buena Vista sits in the center of the Collegiate Peaks about 2.5 hours from Denver. Also, consider renting a vehicle that is 4WD or mountain friendly as weather can be unpredictable.
Feel free to dress as fancy as you would like, but plan to bring a warm layer for the evening. The venue is temperature-controlled but there are outdoor portions if you choose to enjoy a crisp evening on the patio. Average temperatures in Buena Vista are a high/lo of 68/35 degrees in October (for those Minnesotans out there? Think mid-September temps).
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
We love kids! And our goal is to invite as many loved ones as possible, this includes your kiddos. But we are working on finalizing the list based on venue capacity. We will reach out to you individually if we are able to extend an invitation to your entire family.
