Visit the Kentucky Derby museum at Churchill Downs to explore interactive exhibits, participate in a 30-minute guided historic walking tour at Churchill Downs Racetrack, and watch the Museum’s signature 18-minute movie, “The Greatest Race” about the history of the Derby.
Take a cab and explore NuLu, or New Louisville, a hip and relatively new area of East Louisville. There are plenty of places to grab a bite spanning upscale New American cuisine to casual BBQ, in addition to stylish bars pouring craft beer and bourbon. You can also peruse local boutiques and contemporary galleries.
There will be a music festival Friday - Sunday of our wedding. It is about a 5 minute drive from our hotel if anyone cares to check out the performances!
