HOW WE MET: At the end of 2017, Sam was out day-drinking in New York City with a group of his guy friends. While out, someone recognized Sam and one of his best-men, Nick, from a house party they hosted in Collegeville. Olivia’s colleague at the time, friends with the person who recognized Sam and Nick, then struck up a conversation with Sam. The colleague asked Sam what his ethnicity was, in which he answered, “I am half-Moroccan!” She then got excited and said, “So is my friend from work!” Sam replied, “Oh no way, can I see a photo?” Olivia’s colleague pulled up Olivia’s Instagram and shared that Olivia was single, which led to Sam asking for Olivia’s number and asking her out on a date. THE PROPOSAL: On November 6th, 2022, Sam and Olivia went up to Malibu to grab a bite and some drinks at the Sunset restaurant for a 'Sunday Funday' date night. After much stalling (and many trips to the bathroom), Sam walked Liv over to a beautiful picnic surprise on the beach - complete with a “Marry Me” sign, string lights, 3 dozen roses, champagne, a charcuterie board and teepee just for Olivia. Sam then got down on one knee and asked Olivia if she would spend the rest of her life with him. After an emotional “yes!” and some celebratory drinks at the Sunset, Sam and Liv drove back home before making one final surprise stop at Mastro’s, a beautiful steakhouse off of the PCH. Once Liv walked in, she quickly dropped to the ground after she came to find out she was surrounded by all of our west coast friends who were there to surprise her for a celebratory meal. It was the best day of our lives..so far that is! Can’t wait to top our magical day as we celebrate our love with our favorite people in Temecula!
