Join us on our special day

Long story short, we met through a mutual friend and started out as a professional-client relationship. As we got to know each other more, we found out that we both had ended our previous relationship a day apart and in that same week, we met in-person for the first time. We also found out that we used to live in the same neighborhood in Richmond before we even knew each other! What a fate-like coincidence.

We were watching the 2021 countdown on a carpet of a dimmed living room after a long day at work. Toyomi had her focus on the TV as the countdown was closing in..."3...2...1" and all of sudden, Ben popped the question "Will you marry me?". It was totally unprepared as Toyomi had a messy hair, still had her scrubs on, and was tired. She started chuckling away if Ben was half joking or being serious. We both burst into laughter as we couldn't stop laughing until He nervously reminded her to answer his question. Of course, she happily said yes.
