FAQs

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Parking ($3) at Indian Boundary Recreation Area can be limited. If the main lot is full, overflow parking is available at the campground. Please let us know before heading to overflow so we can help coordinate a shuttle. *There will be no cell reception*

Question

Will there be cell service?

Answer

There is no cell service at Indian Boundary Recreation Area. Service may cut out on the way there, so please download your route on Google Maps ahead of time.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is semi-formal outdoor attire, you can use our color palette to inspire your outfit- soft blues, muted greens, dusty rose, and warm neutrals. Since the ceremony and reception will be outside on sand and near the lake, comfortable shoes are recommended.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Early May in East Tennessee is typically mild and beautiful, but weather can change quickly in the mountains. We recommend bringing a light layer just in case.

Question

Is this ceremony and reception in the same place?

Answer

Yes! Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the same location, so there is no need to travel between venues.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Please reach out to Megan or Michael!

Question

What if I want to give a gift?

Answer

Your presence is the greatest gift. If you wish to give more, we have a honeymoon fund and registry available on our website.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving 20–30 minutes before the ceremony so you have time to park, get settled, and enjoy the beautiful setting before we begin.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

We’re happy to celebrate with your little ones! Indian Boundary Recreation Area is a beautiful outdoor spot and a great place for kids to enjoy nature. If you plan to bring children, please let us know so we can include them in the final headcount.
