Downtown Franklin-Walk around The Park at Harlinsdale Farm. Stunning views and open fields. Home of The Pilgrimage Music Festival, and champion Tennessee Walking Horse, ‘Midnight Sun.’ You can walk down to the Harpeth River if you follow the kayak/canoe signs. This is also across the street from the Franklin Factory.
Downtown Franklin-For some Civil War History, visit the Canton Plantation, just minutes from downtown Franklin. If you don’t want to do the mansion tour, you can still walk into the book store and walk through the cemetery, which is the largest private Civil War cemetery in the United States.
Lots of walkable places right outside the door! Just Love Coffee, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream (Brown butter almond brittle!), Vintage Vine, North Italia, Condado Mexican Food, Shake Shack are all right there. Across the street is Whole Foods, and Brick Tops, which is a solid restaurant. First Watch for breakfast, it’s fantastic and is also super close by, about 1/2 mile.
Located about 25 miles south of Nashville. They offer plenty of outdoor seating areas to enjoy while you are here. You can purchase wines, self-guided wine tasting flights, and snacks. Experience the beautiful vineyard while enjoying some delicious wine.
Nashville Area-It’s hard to know where to begin, but obviously a walk up and down Lower Broadway, people watching on the street and in the Honky Tonks for starters! If you are on Lower Broadway, the best restaurants are likely in the food court and Fifth and Broadway. Roof top happy hour cocktails are fun. The Westin has a good one, and so does The Bobby. There is the Johnny Cash Museum which fans really enjoy, and The Listening Room Cafe introduces you to the songwriter scene in Nashville. They have mid-day shows too.
