We were both in high school working our first job at Market Street. I was bagging groceries when I saw the smoking hot new chick who I later found out her name was Alyssa! I would try to strike up conversations with her, but she just wouldn't give me the time of day. We would have little conversations here and there, but I doubt she even knew who I was. I later found out through word of mouth that she was a cheerleader at Frenship! NICE!! She would show up sometimes in her workout clothes and I just thought she was such a hottie....but of course she never gave me the time of day back then. It took Alyssa 7 years to come around and figure out what she was missing out on. I stumbled upon her on Facebook one day just before my birthday when she popped up as "People You May Know" so I sent her a friend request. She held out a few days to a week or so to try and play hard to get. She finally accepted while I was on my birthday trip out of town and we started to talk more and more as each day went on. Fast forward to my motorcycle wreck in 2015 and in the hospital I put a label on us "dating" when the doctor asked who she was to me. We've been making history and sweet memories ever since!!! - Benton Britt

Benton and I went on our first travel adventure together - Las Vegas, NV! I was nervous and excited, because it was absolutely the most perfect entertainment destination for us to start our New Years of 2016. I also purchased my first runway piece which makes the trip even more memorable. Benton’s family was there and they welcomed me with open arms and he was so sweet. Benton swears that before we headed home, while hanging out at the Wynn Hotel, he knew that he love-loved me and that I was “the one.” However, it wasn’t until April (four months later) that he told me he loved me because he said wanted to take his time and since he knew I was ‘the one” we had all the time. September 23, 2016 we went back to Las Vegas to accompany Glee Britt at the end of a work trip and stayed a little longer to hang out and enjoy Las Vegas. It was early afternoon that we were walking around the Wynn Hotel and Benton decided to start reminiscing about the last time we were there and telling his mom where we sat when he realized he loved me, that I was the one, and why he knew it. Keep in mind, I had already thought he had been acting weird all day, but I had food on my mind so until I was fed so addressing that would have to wait. I started heading towards the doors so we could go to lunch and of course, good Ol’ Benton decided he wanted to look around at the flowers - he was completely unaware and didn’t care that my HANGRY stage was quickly approaching, but we looked. It was then when he had me look at a certain ball of flowers and when I turned around....instant tears came to my eyes. The man that was told he wouldn't be able to run or kneel on his knees because of the motorcycle accident, was on his knee asking me the most important question I'll have ever answered. After uncovering my face and saying "ARE YOU SURE" at least twice, I said "YES" to the best decision I could have EVER made. I said "yes" to my forever future. P.S. After that he took me to go get the best pizza that Las Vegas has to offer and we saw "LOVE" by the Beatles that night! - Alyssa Britt
