Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium
It’s ranked the #1 zoo in the country for a reason! Plan to spend at least half a day if you want to see all the exhibits. Bonus: you’re allowed to bring your own snacks, drinks, and even carts for the kids. If that sounds like your kind of outing, definitely don’t miss it!
Lauritzen Gardens
They’ve got a conservatory and plenty of outdoor paths that take you through their gardens. If you’re into relaxing walks and checking out different plants, it’s a really nice spot to explore.
The Durham Museum
The Durham Museum is housed in Omaha’s historic Union Station, blending stunning architecture with rich local history. It's a fascinating experience that will take you back in time. Walk through a passenger train and grab an old timey soda drink while you learn about Omaha's history!
Gene Leahy Mall at The RiverFront
Don't let the name throw you off! There's no shopping here, just pure outdoor enjoyment by the riverfront. Lots of walking paths, playgrounds, a skate ribbon, and great views of downtown.
Joslyn Art Museum
The Joslyn Museum reopened this spring after several years of renovation, and it was well worth the wait. It’s a beautiful space —and best of all, admission is completely free!
The Old Market
Old-world charm comes alive with cobblestone streets + historic brick buildings. It’s the perfect place to dine, shop, and explore. Don’t miss the Old Market Passageway—one of Bailey’s favorite hidden gems!
