Free entry to gorgeous gardens, a zoo, and plenty of space to stroll. We have fond memories of riding around in the swan paddle boats together.
Lake of the Isles
There are tons of lakes to explore in Minnesota. Here is one of our favorites to walk and paddleboard around (although it's probably to cold for the water sports in October).

Free admission and an incredible collection from all over the world. Rae is obsessed with their ancient world collection.

Home of the iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry. They also have a fun mini-golf course on the roof if you're feeling competitive.

The country’s largest mall, with shops, restaurants, and even an indoor amusement park.
Macalester College
Located on Grand which has a charming stretch with shops, cafés, and local flavor. Ben and Rae have many memories of getting some great food and drinks just down the street from Mac.
