We're ready to party and hope you are too!

Nate and Andrea’s story revolves around God’s good timing. The two knew each other as peers growing up in small-town Nebraska, but it wasn’t until they each ended up at Nate’s sister Nikki’s house years later for a Fourth of July party that their interests peaked. Mustard, spike ball, and a good joke kept them together throughout the night; honest conversations and light-hearted humor kept them talking ever since!

On August 20, 2021, after several dates, Nate and Andrea spent the evening at Glacial Till Vineyard where Nate asked to make it official. To Andrea, this was a pretty ideal night enjoying live music and drinks with good company along with an exciting brief, heavy rain followed quickly by a beautiful rainbow- not to mention coming away from it with a BOYFRIEND!

Despite the initial discomfort with the labels, Nate and Andrea greatly enjoyed navigating dating together. They spent much time in healthy competition on a local tennis court before work, in deep conversation at the ping pong table or on the porch, and sharing each other’s humor during get-togethers with family and friends among many other activities.

Just about seven months from the day they made their relationship official, the two were home for the weekend celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in the Irish Capital and helping dads with calving. For the first time together, they enjoyed a night out with hometown friends. Naturally, they received many comments and questions about the relationship including, “When’s the wedding?” to which Andrea shrugged off not knowing what was to come. After checking both families' cows the next day (and her giving him a small scare), Nate led Andrea to a beautiful secluded dirt road where they went on a walk and he got down on one knee and popped the question. Once again, Andrea considered this ideal, alone in the quiet of the country for such a special moment. They enjoyed their time together before returning to town to celebrate with family.

Throughout the process (and still), the two were greatly appreciative of wise counsel from loved ones and a faithful God to help navigate the unknown. If asked, they would probably say their motto for their relationship thus far has been something along the lines of, “It’s all an adventure. We are exploring and learning together.” Nate and Andrea are excited about the opportunity to live as one and know that with God at the center, they can move forward confidently, adventuring through life together.
