FAQs

Question

What is my cheapest option?

Answer

Value Tip: Adults booked on the Dreams Playa Esmeralda side enjoy free-flow access to the adults-only Secrets Playa Esmeralda for most restaurants, bars, shows, pools, and beach areas. Preferred Club spaces at either resort remain exclusive to guests booked in Preferred Club. If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly option and don’t mind your room being on the family side, booking Dreams can offer substantial savings while still letting you enjoy most of the Secrets experience. Note: Access is 18+, and venues/hours are subject to availability and resort policies.

Question

Are kids welcome at the wedding?

Answer

Yes! You and your family are more than welcome to join us in celebrating our special day. The resort we chose has two connected sides: Dreams (family-friendly) and Secrets (adults-only). Guests staying at Secrets will have full access to both sides of the resort and only adults staying on the Dreams side will have access to Secrets side (just not preferred club areas).

Question

Who should I contact with travel question or help with booking?

Answer

For anything travel-related — including booking your stay, flights, pricing or general questions — please reach out to our amazing travel coordinator, Amy Adams. She’s here to make the process smooth and stress-free. Call/Text: 717-208-4458 Email: amadams@dreamvacations.com

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We’re going Coastal Cocktail (Beach Chic). Translation: dressy, breezy, and photo-ready—just not black-tie. Ladies, think flowy midi/maxi dresses or jumpsuits. Gentlemen, button-ups with linen pants or tailored shorts are perfect, and dressy sandals are totally fine. Please skip flip-flops, cargo shorts, and baseball caps during the ceremony & reception. Heels sink in sand, so wedges, block heels, or dressy flats are your friends.

Question

Do I need a passport?

Answer

Yes, a valid passport is required for travel. Please double-check the expiration date—your passport must be valid for at least six months after your planned return date. If it expires sooner, you may be denied entry. Now’s the perfect time to renew if you’re cutting it close!

Question

What if I can’t make it to the Dominican Republic?

Answer

While we’d love to have you with us in the DR, we completely understand that traveling isn’t possible for everyone.
