Our Connection

From the very beginning, being together felt easy. On our first road trip (our first date, no less), we realized just how profoundly comfortable we were in each other’s company — the kind of comfort that usually takes years to build. Conversation never ran out, the silence was never awkward… though Clarissa didn’t exactly allow for much silence in the first place. Still, everything felt effortless, like we had known each other far longer than we actually had. Not long after, Caleb started “accidentally” forgetting things at Clarissa’s place — a hat here, a charger there, he quite possibly would've left his right foot if it meant another visit. And every time she spotted something left behind, she couldn’t help but smile, fully aware of what he was doing (and secretly hoping he’d continue to forget more). After that first trip, days apart became rare. Being together just felt right, like we had always been meant to end up side by side. What started as an easy connection quickly grew into a deep, natural love — one built on comfort, conversation, and a few strategically misplaced belongings. And at the center of everything is our humor. It’s the heartbeat of our connection — the lame jokes no one else laughs at, the lighthearted teasing, and the way one of us starts laughing and the other immediately joins in (even before knowing why). Our laughter is contagious, warm, and completely ours. It was one of the first things that brought us together, and it’s one of the things that continues to make our love feel light, joyful, and full of fun — exactly the way we like it. Ours.
