We met in college during a Friday night meeting of the University Gaming Society, or better known as UMD's board game club. Our respective friend groups ended up joining together for a game called Werewolf. We got to chatting after we finished, and we hit it off almost immediately. After talking nonstop, both in person and online, we agreed to meet for coffee. Ben (going against his roommates advice) brought his Switch in order to play Mario Kart and Smash Ultimate. It's good that Ben didn't listen to his roommates, because Jessie actually loved it and they had a great time (though she later learned that he was going easy on her. Ben is unstoppable at Mario Kart). We started dating a few weeks later and the rest is history!
