When Phoebe moved to Portland for her job, she said goodbye to New York and said "this is my no-boys adventure!" to her friends. A week after moving, she and Bennett matched on a dating app. Their first date at the Sandy Hut lasted several hours, and Bennett walked Phoebe across the city all the way home, both unable to stop talking. In the next year, they summited Mt. Adams, traveled through the Amazon rainforest, and visited the temples of Delhi. When Bennett finished medical school, they decided to move to Nashville together, where Bennett would start residency at Vanderbilt and Phoebe would continue working on renewable energy projects in the South. Phoebe and Bennett fell in love with Nashville, making lifelong friends and raising their dog Cricket. As newcomers to the South, they have found inspiration in the generous and progressive Nashville community, which has been a beacon of hope in trying times.
