It was a breezy day in March. I was walking along the Greenbelt, trying to enjoy the unpredictable Boise weather, but the wind was relentless. Suddenly, a fierce gust whipped my favorite knitted beanie right off my head. It tumbled toward the river, certain to land in the icy water. I cried out and started to chase it, but he was jogging in the opposite direction and was much faster. He lunged, catching the beanie mere inches from the bank, balancing expertly on a slick rock. "Nice save!" I called, running up to him. He hopped back onto the path, slightly out of breath. "I think the river was hungry," he joked handing me the hat. He had the kindest smile. I asked if I could buy him a coffee downtown to say thanks for saving my ears from frostbite. He agreed, and we walked the rest of the way together. I knew right then our story had just begun. Ok that story is a lie, we met online :). So our story isn't nearly as cute, but rest assured... just as special.
