In 2015 Lauren was interviewing for a new job at Dia&Co. Jordan had started working there a few months earlier and interviewed her on September 27th of that year. That was the first day they met! Lauren got the job, and at the time she started there were only about 10 employees at the whole company. Lauren and Jordan became fast friends and would Slack a lot during the day. In December, Lauren and Jordan started hanging out outside of work. Lauren went with Jordan and some of his friends to see his favorite band Deer Tick at Brooklyn Bowl. Jordan went with Lauren and some of her friends to see a Rolling Stones cover band called "The Rolling Bones" at the Red Lion the following week. From the beginning live music was a big part of their relationship! One weekend in January, Lauren and Jordan were both at birthday parties on the Upper West Side (which was odd since Lauren lived in the East Village and Jordan in Brooklyn). They decided to meet up and Lauren dragged her friends who graciously agreed to accompany her to meet up with "this cute boy from work". Lauren ended up hanging out the rest of the night with Jordan and his friends. That Sunday night they went to dinner and to a movie, and spent the next day Monday ice skating in Prospect Park. From then on they were officially dating (although it would be many more months before the word was officially out at Dia!).
