Flight

FLIGHTS

Both O'Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW) offer many direct flights and are well connected to the city. Orange Line CTA trains run from Midway and Blue Line CTA trains run from ORD. We recommend utilizing the CTA system as transportation into the city, as it is usually the most economical and fastest option. Ride-shares and taxis are plentiful at both airports as well.

Train

CTA Train Service

CTA tickets are $5 from O'Hare into the city and $2.50 everywhere else. All CTA terminals accept tap to pay and Apple Pay, so you can easily pay at terminals by tapping your card or phone! "Clark/Lake" is name of the CTA train stop on the Green Line closest to Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel in the Chicago Loop. If you decide to take the train to the wedding venue, make sure you are going in the Harlem/Lake direction! Your stop will be "Conservatory-Central Park Drive". It will drop you right across the street from the venue!

Hotel

The Allegro Royal Sonesta Hotel Chicago Loop

171 West Randolph Street, Chicago, IL 60601

We have a room block at the Allegro Royal Sonesta in the Loop. This hotel is in a central area and is within a block of the Clark/Lake CTA stop, which includes Green, Blue, and Orange CTA Line access (as well as Red, Purple, Pink, and Brown!). By no means are you required to stay here! However, it is a lovely hotel with a fun location in the heart of downtown.

Travel Note

What Neighborhood Should We Stay In?

We're thrilled to be having our wedding at the beautiful Garfield Park Conservatory and can't wait for you to join us there on Sunday the 28th. If you choose not to stay at the Allegro Sonesta Hotel (that's okay!), the area directly surrounding the venue isn't particularly exciting or engaging and wouldn't be where we would recommend to stay to make the most out of your trip to Chicago! Instead, we would recommend staying in... West Loop: A dynamic, trendy, and rapidly evolving neighborhood that is easily accessible to the CTA Green Line. We love to go out to eat here! Some of our favorite restaurants are... Au Cheval, Aba, and Duck Duck Goat. Lincoln Park: An affluent, charming, family-friendly neighborhood known for its beautiful park, free zoo, and relaxed vibe with cafes and boutiques. Old Town: A historic area with a mix of classic architecture, cozy pubs, and a lively atmosphere, offering a glimpse of Chicago’s past and present. Very active nightlife! Gold Coast: A prestigious neighborhood with elegant mansions, high-end shopping, and upscale dining, perfect for a refined city experience. Printers Row: We might be biased ;) but this is our favorite neighborhood in the city, and the one we call home! Located in the South Loop, we have access to all the train lines, and have stunning architecture to check out (we recommend the Harold Washington Library and the Monadnock Building). Did we mention we're walking distance to Grant Park, Museum Campus, the lakefront AND the river? Hard to beat!

For all the days along the way
